SILVER CREEK – On July 28, Dylan C. Slaght, 20, was arrested for alleged driving while ability impaired by drugs, two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and failure to dim headlights.

At around 2 a.m., deputies of the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Routes 5 and 20 in the Town of Hanover for an alleged traffic violation. Through investigation it was discovered that the operator Slaght was operating the vehicle while under the influence. Slaght was also found to be in possession of various quantities of narcotics. Slaght was taken into custody and charged. Slaght will answer for his charges in the Town of Hanover Court at a later date.

MAYVILLE – On July 29, Scott E. Dellahoy, 35, of Cherry Creek was arrested for two counts of alleged forcible touching, false imprisonment, and third-degree sexual abuse.

On July 8, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation regarding a sex crime that occurred on July 4 in Mayville. After concluding the investigation an arrest warrant was issued for Dellahoy. Dellahoy turned himself in on the same charges at Chautauqua County Jail. Dellahoy was arraigned by the centralized arraignment program and was released on his own recognizance.
