Silver Creek man charged with making meth

SILVER CREEK — A lengthy investigation into narcotics trafficking and the manufacturing of methamphetamine led to the arrest of a village resident.

Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies served a warrant on Sean O’Connor at a residence in the village around 3:30 p.m. O’Connor was wanted on multiple felony counts of second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, and third-degree unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine out of Chautauqua County Court.

During the course of the investigation members of the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force made numerous controlled purchases of methamphetamine from O’Connor, 46, of 21 Hickory St. O’Connor was taken in to custody and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail where he awaited arraignment. He was arraigned and released earlier on Thursday.

Pair facing drug charges after traffic stop

SHERMAN — Two north county women are facing drug charges after being stopped by Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies on an observed traffic violation.

After the stop around 6:30 p.m., deputies found vehicle operator Deborah Wicks, 36, of Dunkirk, in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine as well as drug paraphernalia. Deputies additionally found vehicle passenger Kathryn Fisher, 44, of Westfield, in possession of a quantity of hypodermic needles as well as additional paraphernalia.

Wicks was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled, second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia and numerous traffic citations while Fisher was charged with criminally possessing a hypodermic instrument and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia.

Both Fisher and Wicks were released with tickets and will be in the Town of Sherman Court at a later date.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ FRENCH CREEK — Jordan M. Taylor, 23, of Clymer, and Trevor J. Kneer, 21, of Sherman, were each charged with third-degree burglary, fourth-degree criminal mischief and petit larceny. Deputies received a complaint of a burglary that took place on Bush Road in the town of French Creek. An investigation found that Taylor and Kneer on July 25 damaged property, stole items and remained inside a building. Both were issued tickets to appear in French Creek Town Court later to answer the charges.

¯ CLYMER — Brandon Jensen, 35, of Wattsburg, Pa., was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se and speed in zone. Deputies stopped a vehicle at 4:16 a.m. on Wednesday on West Main Street in the town of Clymer. An investigation found that Jensen was allegedly operating the vehicle in an intoxicated state. He is scheduled to appear in Clymer Town Court later.

WESTFIELD POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Victor O. Sanchez, 34, of Westfield, was charged with third-degree assault. Sanchez was issued an appearance ticket following an investigation in which he allegedly grabbed another person Tuesday and threw him to the ground causing injury. Sanchez is scheduled to appear in Westfield Town Court later.
