Name of Warren man killed in storm released

WARREN, Pa. — The identity of a Warren man killed in Thursday’s storm has been released.

According to Warren County Coroner Melissa Zydonik, Michael Jones, 40, died as a result of blunt force trauma. A portion of a tree fell on him near his Fourth Avenue home Thursday evening.

There were damages throughout Warren County as a result of the storm, many of them still visible on Friday, but no other injuries were reported.

Trees and wires were knocked down by sustained winds estimated at 55 to 65 miles per hour by the National Weather Service.
