¯ NORTH HARMONY — A traffic infraction led to a driving while intoxicated charge early Sunday.

Around 12:20 a.m., Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies stopped a vehicle driven by Burke H. Lindquist, 42, of Jamestown on Panama-Stedman Road. Upon further investigation, it was determined that Lindquist was allegedly operating the vehicle while intoxicated.

Lindquist was arrested and charged with DWI, open alcohol container in a motor vehicle, having an unregistered motor vehicle and failing to stop at a stop sign. Lindquist was released with traffic tickets and is scheduled to be in the Town of North Harmony Court at a later date.

¯ ELLICOTT — An Ohio man is facing driving while intoxicated charges.

Around 10:30 p.m. Friday, Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies stopped a vehicle on Fluvanna Avenue Extension in the town of Ellicott for speeding. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Scott Hagstrom, 65, of Madison, Ohio. After a short investigation it was determined that Hagstrom was operating his vehicle in an intoxicated state.

Hagstrom was taken into custody and later released with tickets for speeding in zone, DWI, and DWI per se. He will be in town of Ellicott court at a later date.
