CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

¯WESTFIELD — A Sinclairville man, found in possession with methamphetamine, was charged after a traffic stop on Wednesday. Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies reported seeing a vehicle on East Main Street in the village with an alleged traffic violation. Further investigation found that the operator of the vehicle Todd A. Witt 42, was operating the vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. A search of Witt’s vehicle also found that Witt had a quantity of methamphetamine and hypodermic needles. Witt was taken into custody and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminally possessing a hypodermic instrument and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. Witt was taken to the County Jail for centralized arraignment.

¯ SHERMAN — A September incident has led to charges for a 19-year-old. On Saturday morning, Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies reported they were called to the town of Sherman for an alleged assault on Sept. 8. After an investigation, it was discovered that Patrick O. How, 19, had punched another individual causing physical injury to that individual. How was charged with third-degree assault and is set to be in the Town of Sherman Court at a later date to answer the charges.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Police arrested Jesus Torres Jr., 32, on Saturday at 12:30 a.m. after responding a past tense domestic incident that occurred on Euclid Avenue. Officers found that Torres hit the victim in front of his 7-year-old daughter, violating an order of protection. He was taken into custody and became combative toward officers and was transported to the city jail where he was charged with criminal contempt, aggravated family offense, resisting arrest and endangering the welfare of a child.
