≤ NORTH HARMONY — Traffic violations that included the driver traveling at high speeds has led to charges for a West Ellicott resident.

At about 7:55 p.m. Thursday, Chautauqua County sheriffs deputies attempted to stop a motor vehicle on Route 394. The vehicle failed to comply. A short vehicle chase ensued and the driver eventually stopped and was taken into custody. Charged was Charles M. Foringer, 55, with driving while intoxicated, with a blood alcohol content of more than 0.08%, speed over 55 mph, failure to keep right, moving from lane unsafely, failure to comply with a lawful order and third-degree unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle.

He will be in North Harmony court on a later date.

≤ ARKWRIGHT — A Sinclairville woman has been charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief after a report of an altercation

At 11:12 p.m. Friday, Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies were to an address in the town. After an investigation, Shaina Love, 29, was charged. She was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for arraignment.
