CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ POMFRET — Paul R. Samuelson, 30, of Fredonia, was charged with second-degree assault, second-degree strangulation and fourth-degree criminal mischief. Deputies were called to a residence Thursday in the town of Pomfret for a reported assault. An investigation found that Samuelson allegedly struck another person numerous times, causing serious injuries. Additionally, Samuelson allegedly applied pressure to the victims neck causing injury as well as prevented their ability to contact 911 for emergency assistance. Samuelson was taken into custody and transported to Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.

≤ HANOVER –At about 11:12 p.m. Wednesday, deputies responded to a report of a physical altercation. Following an investigation, deputies learned that Tiffany Yerico, 38, and Chad Paolini, 44, both of Fredonia, initiated a physical altercation which resulted in injuries to others. These actions were done while in the presence of a child. Paolini faces charges of assault, criminal obstruction of breathing, and endangering the welfare of a child while Tiffany Yerico faces charges of assault, reckless endangerment, and endangering the welfare of a child.

Both subjects were transported to the Chautauqua County Jail where they are being held pending Centralized Arraignment.
