Jamestown woman tied to drug ring facing prison

Kylie Reeves

A Jamestown woman involved in a reported drug trafficking ring is facing 10 years in prison.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Kylie Reeves, 28, pleaded guilty before U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael J. Roemer to conspiring to possess with intent to distribute, and distributing, 50 grams or more of methamphetamine. One of six indicted in October 2020, Reeves is the first to be convicted in connection to the ring in which an assortment of drugs were said to have been moved through the Jamestown area.

U.S. Attorney James Kennedy Jr. said Reeves was part of a group led by Rocco Beardsley, who in early 2020 was on parole following a conviction on drug charges in 2017. Reeves reportedly distributed methamphetamine and heroin for Beardsley, who managed her, controlled the supply, and set the prices. Reeves also allowed Beardsley to utilize her residence on West Cowden Place in Jamestown and communicated with others on his behalf.

In a March 24, 2020, search of Beardsley’s vehicle during a traffic stop, investigators recovered large quantities of methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, crack cocaine, hydrocodone, and other controlled substances. At the time, the Jamestown Police Department said the narcotics — had they not been seized — would have likely been sold “within days on the streets.”

A subsequent search of Beardsley’s home turned up methamphetamine, a glass plate with white powder material, digital scale, and $185 in cash.

Reeves and her three minor children also lived at the residence. Following Beardsley’s arrest, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said Reeves conducted “drug trafficking activities” on his behalf, communicating with co-conspirators, associates, suppliers, and customers in order to continue receiving proceeds.

Reeves will be sentenced on the drug charge at a later date, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said in a news release. She is facing a minimum of 10 years in prison and a $10 million fine.
