CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ SILVER CREEK — Shaun I. Ellison, 39, of Silver Creek, was charged with second-degree harassment and criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation. Deputies responded at 1:55 p.m. Wednesday to Angell Road in Silver Creek for a reported disturbance at a residence. Upon arrival deputies determined that Ellison had allegedly obstructed the breathing of another person and had unwanted physical contact with them during an incident. Ellison is scheduled to appear in Hanover Town Court later.

¯ SILVER CREEK — Jennifer A. Darbee, 46, of Silver Creek, was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief at 1:18 p.m. Thursday after deputies responded to a Silver Creek address for a reported fight. Deputies found Darbee allegedly damaged property belonging to another person. She was charged and taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for the Centralized Arraignment Program. She will be in court later.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

¯ BEMUS POINT — Amanda Goodell, 33, of Wyoming, Mich., was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief. Troopers responded Tuesday to a Bemus Point residence for a reported disturbance. It was learned that Goodell got into an argument with the residents and allegedly threw items around the kitchen, resulting in damage. Goodell was taken into custody and transported to Chautauqua County Jail.

¯ RANDOLPH — Daniel Visker, 35, of Conewango Valley, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Visker was stopped Monday on Interstate 86 in Randolph for a traffic violation, and during the stop, was allegedly found with a modified firearm with ammunition. A check showed a prior felony conviction, upgrading the charge to a felony. Visker was remanded to Cattaraugus County Jail.

CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

An investigation into the May death of an inmate at the Cattaraugus County Jail has netted an Olean man numerous charges.

The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday announced the arrest of 31-year-old Daniel P. Klein on charges of second-degree manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide, criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal sale of a controlled substance and three counts of possession of prison contraband.

No further details regarding the death were released. Franklin Chase, 36, was found unresponsive in his cell in early May, and authorities had been awaiting the results of an autopsy.

Klein was arraigned on the charges and remanded to jail on $100,000 bail.

WESTFIELD POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Andreais J. Hunzinger, 20, of Westfield, was charged with fourth-degree stalking, second-degree harassment and endangering the welfare of a child. Police received a complaint June 4 that Hunzinger allegedly engaged in conduct that caused another person and their children to fear for their safety. The conduct allegedly included the use of racial/ethnic slurs directed at the victim. Hunzinger was taken into custody Monday.
