City man with weapon charged by police
Dunkirk police have charged a 31-year-old city resident after being dispatched to the area of the 400 block of Main Street for a report of a person with a gun around 5:30 p.m. Friday.
A description of the subject was given and patrol officers spotted the subject matching the description and after a short foot pursuit as Erick D. Threatt was located in the area of Fifth and Main streets.
Threatt was detained and patrol officers found a loaded 9 mm handgun Threatt was alleged to have. He was charged with second-degree and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
Threatt was arraigned by Judge Kuzdale and held on $20,000 Cash and $40,000 Property bail.
Dunkirk Police was assisted by Fredonia Police Department and Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department.
