¯ KENNEDY — Jackson Gattis, 20, of Manchester, Vt., was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs. Gattis was stopped July 22 on Interstate 86 in Kennedy for driving 100 miles per hour in a 65 mile per hour zone. Gattis was placed under arrest after reportedly failing several field sobriety tests and was transported to police barracks in Jamestown. Gattis is scheduled to appear in Poland Town Court later.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
¯ CHAUTAUQUA — Michael L. Wood, 48, of Hilton Head Island, was charged with driving while intoxicated, refusal to take a breath test, improper signal and moving from lane unsafely. Deputies stopped a vehicle at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday on Route 394 in the town of Chautauqua. An investigation found that Wood was reportedly intoxicated. He was transported to Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.
¯ PANAMA — Justin J. Ecklund, 28, of Frewsburg, was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Deputies at 8:07 p.m. Wednesday investigated a 911 hang up call at a Panama residence. An investigation found that Ecklund was the sole adult in charge of caring for two children at the residence while he was allegedly impaired by drugs. He is scheduled to appear in Harmony Town Court later.
¯ RIPLEY — Patrick O. How, 20, of Ripley, was charged with sexual misconduct. The Chautauqua County Criminal Investigation Division had been investigating an incident that occurred earlier in the month of July, and following the investigation, How was charged. He is scheduled to appear in Ripley Town Court later.
