Brant man indicted for murder
Keith Renaldo Jr., 38, of Brant was arraigned Tuesday before Erie County Court Judge Kenneth Case on an indictment charging him with one count of second-degree murder.
Renaldo Jr. is accused of fatally shooting 45-year-old Gina Baca of Angola on June 26. Baca was found in a wooded area off of Route 438 in Brant by New York State Police on July 1, 2021. She had been reported missing for several days.
Renaldo is scheduled to return on Aug. 30, at 9:30 a.m. for a pre-trial conference. He remains held without bail.
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Ryan D. Haggerty of the Homicide Bureau and Assistant District Attorney Matthew S. Szalkowski of the Tactical Prosecution Unit.
