CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ STOCKTON — Thomas A. Sporysz, 27, of Forestville, was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and fourth-degree criminal mischief. Deputies responded at 5:38 a.m. Tuesday to a Stockton address for a reported altercation. Sporysz was taken into custody following an investigation. He was taken to Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.

¯Timothy M. Cunningham, 55, of Dunkirk, was charged with second-degree aggravated harassment. Deputies investigated an incident in which a person reported receiving numerous unwanted and harassing phone calls from another individual. An investigation found that Cunningham called and harassed the person for no legitimate purpose. Cunningham was taken into custody Thursday and transported to Chautauqua County Jail for arraignment.

¯ JAMESTOWN — A 53-year-old Jamestown man was transported to UPMC Chautauqua for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries following a vehicle-pedestrian accident Tuesday. Deputies were called at 6:15 p.m. to South Main and Harrison streets for the accident. A 27-year-old woman stated she was traveling on Harrison when the man walked out in front of her. No charges were filed.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

¯ BEMUS POINT — Christopher Jacobs, 38, of Clearwater, Fla., was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated. Troopers stopped Jacobs Thursday on Route 430 in Bemus Point and took him into custody after he allegedly failed several field sobriety tests. Jacobs later provided a breath sample of 0.19% and was issued tickets to appear in Ellery Town Court later.
