¯ BEMUS POINT — Lori A. Everson, 52, of Jamestown, was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se and failure to keep right. Deputies stopped a vehicle at 1:30 a.m. on Thursday on North Harold Avenue in Bemus Point for a violation. An investigation found that Everson was allegedly intoxicated while operating the vehicle. A check found that Everson had been convicted previously for DWI within the past 10 years, making the new charge a felony. She is scheduled to appear in court later.

ELMA — At 3:23 p.m. Tuesday, troopers charged Jesse A. McKune, 37 of Gowanda, with driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to a breath test and speeding.

Troopers stopped McKune on Bowen Road for speeding. He was placed under arrest after failing field sobriety tests and transported to the Elma barracks for processing. McKune refused to take a breath test.

He will return to Elma court on March 28.
