CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF

–HANOVER — Around 11 p.m. Saturday, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office responded to a complaint of a vehicle all over the road on Routes 5 and 20. The vehicle was located and after observing lane change violations the vehicle was stopped.

The operator was identified as Rachael Stedman, 29, of Silver Creek. After an investigation it was determined that Stedman was driving while intoxicated. She was additionally charged with DWI with a blood-alcohol level greater than 0.08 and unsafe lane changes. She was transported to the Hanover substation and later released. She will be in town court later.

— KENNEDY — Around 12:45 a.m. Saturday, deputies responded to an an altercation. It is alleged that Johnathan Sipes, 30, did engage in a physical conflict with another party at the location. Sipes was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and endangering the welfare of a child. He was then transported to Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.
