JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Dakota M. Morse, 26, no address listed, was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, second-degree criminal contempt and fourth-degree criminal mischief. Officers responded at 6:15 p.m. Monday to a reported physical domestic on the north side of the city. An investigation found that Morse allegedly took property from another person and fled the area. Morse was found at a nearby store and was taken into custody. It was later learned that there was a valid stay away order of protection from the person he took the property from. Morse was held for arraignment in court.

¯ Darryl P. Cavness, 38, of Jamestown, was charged with driving while intoxicated, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, circumvention of an interlock device and two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Jonathan R. Barlow, 50, of Jamestown, was charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Officers stopped a vehicle at 1:24 a.m. Monday on West Harrison Street near Forest Avenue. An investigation found that Cavness was allegedly operating the vehicle in an intoxicated state and that his license had been revoked for DWI. A search of the vehicle later turned up a quantity of Alprazolam pills and Suboxone strips. Barlow was a passenger in the vehicle.

¯ Dale Goodridge, 47, of Jamestown, was charged with failure to keep right, suspended registration, cracked or distorted windshield, DWI, DWI per se over 0.08% BAC, DWI-Leandras Law with child in vehicle under age 15, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and endangering the welfare of a child. Officers stopped a vehicle at 1:09 p.m. Monday due to it failing to keep right, having a suspended registration along with a crack windshield that was obstructing the driver’s view. Goodridge reportedly failed field sobriety tests and had a revoked license due to a prior DWI charge. A 1-year-old child was in the vehicle at the time of the stop.
