¯ MAYVILLE — Shawn Conway, 45, of Westfield was sentenced Friday by Chautauqua County Court Judge David Foley to a determinate state prison sentence of 11 years with five years of post-release supervision after being convicted of first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class A felony. Conway pleaded guilty to the charge on April 17. The conviction is the result of an incident that occurred in the town of Portland in April 2022. District Attorney Jason Schmidt added his thanks the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s office for their hard work on this case.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
¯ ASHVILLE — A 36-year-old woman and her young daughter were transported to UPMC Chautauqua on Thursday for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries after a one-vehicle crash. Sheriff’s deputies and Ashville volunteer firefighters responded to the collision, reported at about 1:50 p.m. on Route 394. An investigation remains ongoing.
¯ MAYVILLE — A village resident has been charged after an altercation. At 10 a.m. Friday, deputies responded to Potter Road. Upon investigation, it is alleged that Adam Thornton, 41, hit another individual. Thornton was charged with second-degree harassment and was transported to county jail for arraignment.
LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT
¯ Lisa M. Tucker, 27, of Jamestown, was taken into custody Thursday on warrants from the Lakewood-Busti Police Department. Tucker was transported to Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment and is scheduled to appear in court later.
