JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Jena S. Blocker, 36, of Jamestown, was taken into custody after she was observed by officers near Prendergast Library and was known to be wanted in Pennsylvania for shoplifting. Blocker was transported to Jamestown City Jail and held for arraignment in court.

¯ Larry J. Whitehill, 43, of Jamestown, was charged with third-degree criminal trespass. Whitehill was observed at 5:40 a.m. Tuesday walking on the WNY and Pennsylvania railroad tracks. He was taken into custody and held for arraignment in court.

¯ Joseph L. Brisson Jr., 49, of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree assault and two counts of second-degree harassment. Officers responded at 6:33 p.m. Monday to an east side residence for a reported assault. An investigation found that Brisson allegedly threatened to shoot his neighbor and their vehicle with a BB gun following a brief dispute. It was found that Brisson then attempted to punch another person and grabbed a metal rod from his vehicle. Brisson then struck a third person with the meta rod, causing physical injury. Brisson was held for arraignment in court.

¯ David E. Blakey, 33, of Jamestown, was charged with third-degree criminal trespass and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Officers responded at 10:30 p.m. Monday to a person inside a condemned residence and located Blakey inside. Officers also observed a quantity of methamphetamine in plain view while conducting a search. Blakey is scheduled to appear in court later.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Nicholas R. Barrett, 24, of Jamestown, was charged with aggravated DWI-Leandra’s Law, DWI per se with BAC of 0.08% or higher, DWI, speed in zone and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Patrol stopped a vehicle at 10:31 p.m. Monday on Hunt Road for speeding. An investigation found that the driver, identified as Barrett, was allegedly intoxicated with two small children inside. Barrett is scheduled to appear in Busti Town Court later.

¯ Dustin J. Bowser, 38, of Lakewood, was charged with no/insufficient tail lights, DWI and DWI per se. Patrol stopped a vehicle at 12:21 a.m. Tuesday on Miller and East Fairmount avenues for operating with no tail lights. An investigation determined that Bowser was allegedly intoxicated. Bowser is scheduled to appear in Busti Town Court later.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ A Ripley man is facing charges in connection with the theft of an ATV.

On June 26, an investigation was conducted by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division and found that David L. Tackett Jr., 29, had stolen a Honda Foreman S Series ATV from a location on Route 20. The ATV was later located in Ashtabula, Ohio, and returned to the owner.

On Monday, Tackett turned himself in to the Chautauqua County Jail to be arraigned on charges of third-degree grand larceny and third-degree criminal possession of stolen property.
