JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Salena M. Hare, 31, of Jamestown, was charged with insufficient headlamps, insufficient tail lamps, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and driving while ability impaired by drugs. Officers stopped a vehicle at 3:17 a.m Monday on Foote Avenue for driving without headlights or tail lights. The driver was identified as Hare, who was operating the vehicle on a revoked license. Hare later failed sobriety testing and was transported to jail where he refused to be evaluated by the department’s drug recognition expert.

¯ Jamie L. Warner, 41, no address listed, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence. Officers responded at 10 p.m. Sunday to the east side of the city for a follow up investigation. Warner was located on the front porch and was known to have an active warrant. Warner allegedly attempted to conceal a quantity of methamphetamine inside a nearby car. Warner was transported to Jamestown City Jail and held for arraignment.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

¯ MINA — A Tennessee man is facing charges after a traffic stop Friday. At around 8:46 p.m., Matthew R. Eckhardt, 29, of Nashville, was found to be driving while intoxicated. He was placed in custody and transported to the Sheriff’s Office for processing.

Eckhardt was later released with uniform traffic tickets for failure to keep right, driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated. He is set to be in the Town of Mina court later.

¯ FRENCH CREEK — A motor vehicle accident Thursday has led to charges for a Pennsylvania man. At about 8:17 p.m., deputies responded to Brownell Road. It was reported that a vehicle went off of the road and struck several unoccupied vehicles that were parked at a residence. The vehicle then left the scene but was located a short distance away by deputies. The operator was identified as Flint A. Cox, 55, of Punxsutawney.

Through further investigation, it was found that Cox had been operating the vehicle while intoxicated. Cox was subsequently charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated with a BAC of .18% or greater, reckless driving, moved from lane unsafely and leaving the scene of a property damage accident. He will return to town court later.
