JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
• Kyle S. Shaw, 32, no address listed, was charged with second-degree assault and second-degree menacing. Officers responded at 11:28 a.m. Tuesday to the east side of the city for a fight. It was reported that Shaw allegedly approached someone on a porch with a knife in his hand. Shaw also reportedly made several threats to the victim while holding a knife, then swung the knife at the victim. The knife struck the victim in the right leg, causing physical injury. Shaw was located later and transported to Jamestown City Jail.
• William J. Morse, 41, of Jamestown, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and repairing a motor vehicle on city street. Officers and a K-9 unit were called at 9:40 p.m. Thursday to a suspicious situation on Barrows Street near Chandler Street. Officers determined that Morse was working on a vehicle in the road, which is against Jamestown city code. A search of the vehicle turned up a quantity of cocaine HCL and Norco pills. Morse was released with appearance tickets.
• Aimee L. Hogg, 36, of Jamestown, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Officers stopped a vehicle at 1:26 a.m. Thursday on Washington Street near West Fourth Street. During the stop, officers observed drug paraphernalia in plain sight. A search determined that Hogg was allegedly in possession of a quantity of amphetamine. Hogg was released with an appearance ticket.
