JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

— Jared G. Leroy, 43, of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree criminal trespass and fourth-degree criminal mischief. Officers responded at 10:04 p.m. Tuesday to the east side of the city for a trespass complaint. Upon arrival, officers observed a person in an apartment and shortly after heard glass breaking. Leroy was eventually taken into custody and transported to Jamestown City Jail. He was held for arraignment in court.

— James D. Eastham, 28, of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree criminal impersonation, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and riding a bicycle on a sidewalk. A man was observed riding a bicycle on a sidewalk without proper lights at 8:20 p.m. Wednesday in the area of West Sixth and Cherry streets. The man initially gave the identity of a family member but was later confirmed to be Eastham. During a search, he was allegedly found with a quantity of fentanyl. He is scheduled to appear in court later.

— Joseph L. James, 32, of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree obstructing governmental administration and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. A man was observed impeding traffic at 10:54 a.m. Wednesday in the area of West Third Street and Locust Alley. The man, identified as James, was taken into custody following a short foot pursuit. It was also found that James had an outstanding warrant with the Sheriff’s Office. During a search, James was allegedly found with a quantity of methamphetamine. He was transported to Jamestown City Jail.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

— CHAUTAUQUA — Around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, deputies stopped a vehicle on Ellery-Centralia Road for an alleged traffic violation. The operator was identified as 38-year-old Cody Erickson of Panama. Through an investigation it was determined that Erickson was driving while intoxicated. He will return to town court to answer charges later of DWI, DWI per se, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and inadequate muffler.
