JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

— Robert M. Porter Jr., 58, of Celoron, was charged with first-degree burglary, third-degree assault and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Officers responded at 4:19 a.m. Sunday to a downtown address for a reported domestic dispute. An investigation found that Porter had allegedly forced his way into an apartment and punched another person repeatedly causing injuries. Porter was later found to be in possession of Suboxone. He was held for arraignment in court.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

— MINA — Rachel E. James, 27, of Uhrichsville, Ohio, was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, speed not reasonable and prudent and failure to maintain lane. Deputies responded at 7:21 a.m. Sunday to Route 426 in the town of Mina for a report of a vehicle striking a utility pole. An investigation found that James was allegedly driving while impaired by drugs. She is scheduled to appear in court later to answer the charges. There were no injuries in the crash.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

— Douglas E. Martin, 59, of Jamestown, was taken into custody Saturday on an active bench warrant by the Lakewood-Busti Police Department. He is scheduled to appear in Busti Town Court later.

— Scott A. Wisniewski, 42, of Ashville, was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated first-degree unlicensed operator, operating out of ignition interlock restriction, unlicensed operator and speed in zone. Officers at 10:25 p.m. Sunday observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Route 394. An investigation found that Wisniewski was allegedly operating the vehicle while intoxicated. He is scheduled to appear in court later.

GOWANDA POLICE DEPARTMENT

— Nathaniel J. Grekulak, 27, of Gowanda, was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and second-degree harassment. Officers learned that Grekulak was involved in a verbal argument on Feb. 2 that escalated into a physical altercation. He allegedly pushed a woman to the floor, pulled her hair and placed both hands around her throat. The woman was later transported to the hospital for treatment. Grekulak is scheduled to appear in Persia Town Court later to answer the charges.

— Jenna L. Cummiskey, 20, of Lancaster, was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operator. Cummiskey was stopped at 11:11 p.m. Feb. 6 for a headlight violation on Broadway Road. It was found that Cummiskey’s license was suspended seven times for failure to answer traffic tickets. She is scheduled to appear in Persia Town Court later.
