JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

— Tracey L. Wynn, 41, of Jamestown, was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, broken windshield and open container. Officers stopped a vehicle at 7:55 p.m. Wednesday on Park Street for a traffic violation and found that Wynn, the operator, was allegedly in an intoxicated condition. Wynn was processed and released with tickets to appear in Jamestown City Court.

— Jacklyn M. Long, 35, of Jamestown, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminal impersonation. Officers responded at 10:43 p.m. Wednesday to East Fifth Street for a reported larceny. Long was located in the area of Bemus and Kinney streets. It was learned that Long allegedly assumed the identity of another person and was in possession of fentanyl. Long was held for arraignment in court after reportedly failing to appear in court on previous charges.

— Chris L. Freeney, 53, no address listed, was charged with second-degree strangulation. Officers responded at 12:12 a.m. Thursday to a north side home for a reported domestic dispute. It was learned that Freeney allegedly choked another person. Freeney was transported to jail and held for arraignment in court.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

— RIPLEY — James D. Mawhir, 34, of Mayville, was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia. Deputies were called to a Ripley business Feb. 11 to check the well-being of an individual and later became aware of an active warrant for a male at the scene. Mawhir was taken into custody, and a search of his vehicle reportedly turned up a quantity of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Mawhir was transported to Jamestown where he was arraigned on his past charges and is scheduled to appear in Ripley Town Court later.

— PORTLAND — Clint Catchot, 30, of Perrysburg, was charged with first-degree burglary, third-degree assault, third-degree attempted assault and second-degree harassment. Officers responded at 11:08 p.m. Wednesday to a Portland residence for a reported altercation. An investigation found that Catchot allegedly entered and remained inside a residence. While inside, Catchot allegedly engaged in a physical altercation with three separate individuals. He was located a short time later and was transported to jail for arraignment.
