Silver Creek resident charged in drug investigation

SILVER CREEK – A Silver Creek resident is facing charges following an investigation.

According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, Dunkirk Police, Jamestown Police and the Drug Enforcement Administration executed a search warrant at 8 Hickory St., Silver Creek. SWAT officers made entry into the residence.

Present at the time of the search was Deron Weaver, 38. As a result of the search investigators seized a digital scale and more than $6,500 in US Currency. Weaver was charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Weaver was transported to the county jail to be arraigned at the Centralized Arraignment Program.
