CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY COURT

Allan Detweiler, 42, of Sherman, was sentenced Tuesday by Judge David Foley to a determinate state prison term of 7 years with 2 years of post-release supervision after being convicted of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class B felony.

In October 2022, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s office conducted a search warrant in the town of Sherman and arrested Allan Detweiler for second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class A felony, after he was found to be in possession of a large quantity of methamphetamine. Detweiler pleaded guilty to the lesser charge on Jan. 4 as a result of a plea agreement that also covered pending matters in the village of Sherman and town of Westfield.

District Attorney Jason Schmidt would like to thank the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division for their hard work on this case.
