— No injuries were reported in a morning accident at Deer and Sixth streets in the city of Dunkirk involving a school bus and a van.
City police report the incident occurred at 8:10 a.m. Wednesday. After an investigation it was found the driver of the van failed to stop for the sign at the intersection and struck the rear of the school bus. Occupants of both vehicles were evaluated by Dunkirk Fire Department.
The driver of the van, Amelia Mateo-Garcia, 22, was issued tickets for improper child restraint, unlicensed operator, failure to stop at stop sign and no insurance.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
— SINCLAIRVILLE – Adreeanna L. Wallin, 31, of Sinclairville was charged Sunday with second-degree reckless endangerment and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Deputies responded to an address in the village around 5 p.m. for an altercation. It is alleged that Wallin almost hit an individual and two children with the car she was operating. Wallin was taken into custody, transported to the Sheriff’s Office for processing, and later taken to the county jail for arraignment.
— ELLERY – Gary L. Hannold III, 24, was charged Wednesday with seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and uninspected motor vehicle. Deputies said around 9:30 a.m. Hannold was pulled over on Dutch Hollow Road in the town of Ellery for operating a vehicle without an inspection sticker. During the investigation, he was allegedly found to be in possession of methamphetamine.
