CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

– HANOVER – Genesis V. King, 23, of North Tonawanda, was charged Saturday with driving while intoxicated. Deputies said they were called to a residence in Hanover for an unwanted person around 2:20 a.m. That individual was later discovered at a local restaurant on Routes 5&20 parked in a vehicle, allegedly intoxicated. After being charged, King was released with an appearance ticket to appear at the Town of Hanover Court at a later date.

GOWANDA POLICE DEPARTMENT

– Bruce M. Brant, 58, of Aldrich Street, Gowanda was charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, expired inspection and headlight violation. It is alleged that on May 16 officers discovered one gram of crack cocaine and a bottle of methadone that was not prescribed to him in his vehicle during a traffic stop on Gowanda Zoar Road. He will answer to the charge in Collins Town Court.

– Angel M. Kurtzworth, 35, of West Main Street, Gowanda was charged May 23 with second-degree harassment. It is alleged that Kurtzworth contacted two individuals and threatened to harm them. She will answer to the charge in Persia Town Court.

– Chanelle Smith, 34, of Commercial Street, Gowanda, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. Deputies allege that Smith was driving without headlights on and was pulled over. A computer check revealed her driver’s license had been suspended. She will answer to the charge in Collins Town Court.
