CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

– A Dunkirk man was charged with felony driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle accident Thursday night.

According to deputies, around 10:30 p.m. Christopher Ley, 63, of Dunkirk was located a short distance from a vehicle accident on Concord Road in the town of Pomfret. Deputies were assisted in the search by Jamestown’s K-9 unit.

Along with felony DWI, Ley was charged with failure to stop at a stop sign and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle. He will answer to the charges in Pomfret Town Court at a later date.

– SHERIDAN – A Minnesota man was charged with DWI following a motor vehicle accident Thursday night.

Around 10:50 p.m. deputies were called to East Middle Road, near Pennsylvania Avenue, in the town of Sheridan for a vehicle in a ditch. Daniel E. Gallivan, 38, was allegedly the driver.

Along with DWI, Gallivan was charged with aggravated DWI with a blood alcohol content above .18% and failure to keep right. He will answer to the charges in Sheridan Town Court at a later date.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

— Samantha M. Bullock and Abigail C. Quinones were charged with third-degree aggravated criminal contempt and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child following an incident which took place Friday morning.

At 1:07 a.m. officers were dispatched to a northside residence for a reported fight in progress. Officers allege that Quinones had violated an order of protection between two people, including a juvenile. Quinones had allegedly engaged in a physical altercation and caused physical injury to both victims who had a restraining order of protection against her. Also, Bullock allegedly caused physical injury to two adult victims by punching them in the face and biting one. Both suspects were taken into custody and transported to the city jail and will be in court at a later date.

— Charles LS Cooper Sr., 18, and Anikka G. Coulter, 20, both of Jamestown, were charged with two counts of second-degree reckless endangerment, second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, three counts and second-degree criminal contempt following an incident which took place Thursday evening.

At 4:24 p.m. officers responded to a domestic dispute call on the north side of town. Officers allege Cooper and Coulter got into a vehicle with a one-year-old juvenile and then struck a 15-year-old juvenile while allegedly attempting to strike another victim with their vehicle. Cooper and Coulter then allegedly fled the scene in the vehicle and were located shortly after and taken into custody. Both parties were transported to the city jail and will be in court at a later date.
