CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

— STOCKTON — At about 4:16 a.m. Sunday, deputies responded to an address for a report of damaged property. Upon arrival deputies did locate 39-year-old Justin Horton of Stockton. Following an investigation, it was determined that Horton intentionally damaged the property of another with no reasonable right to do so. He was taken into custody, charged with third-degree criminal mischief and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for Centralized Arraignment.

JAMESTOWN POLICE

– Bracken D. Warren of Jamestown was charged with third-degree criminal possession of stolen property, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operator, unregistered motor vehicle, no inspection and operating without insurance at 3:23 p.m. Monday. According to a police report, the Jamestown Police K-9 Unit was assisting the Lakewood-Busti Police Department find a stolen motor vehicle in Jamestown. The vehicle was found by police in the Stowe Street area. The vehicle was seen being driven away before officers pulled the driver over. Warren was taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.

– Joshua M. Eddy, 36, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree criminal possession of stolen property at 3:20 a.m. Tuesday after officers saw a vehicle parked on the sidewalk in front of a South Main Street address. According to a police report, police knew the vehicle had been reported stolen from the village of Lakewood and reportedly saw Eddy in the driver’s seat. Eddy was changed and taken to the city jail.

– James A. Scotchmer, 39, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree criminal impersonation and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance at 4:30 p.m. Monday after officers responded to a north side home for a reported trespassing complaint. According to a police report, Scotchmer was found hiding in the backyard and then allegedly gave officers a fake name to prevent being taken to the city jail on an active bench warrant from Jamestown City Court. Scotchmer was then found in possession of methamphetamine. James was taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.

– Stephen A. Hutchinson, 38, of Jamestown was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief at 7:50 p.m. Monday after officers responded to a west side address for a reported disorderly person. It’s alleged that during a domestic incident Hutchinson damaged property. Hutchinson was taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.
