Panama man sentenced after probation violation
MAYVILLE — A Panama man has been sentenced in Chautauqua County Court.
Billy Heilman, 38, was sentenced Monday by Judge David Foley to a determinate state prison sentence of six years with three years of post-release supervision on a violation of probation.
In February 2023, Jamestown Police Department conducted a traffic stop in the and located methamphetamines on Heilman, which led to an arrest. In February, Heilman pleaded guilty and was sentenced to five-year term of probation after being convicted of fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class C felony.
In May, the Chautauqua County Office of Probation filed a violation against Heilman for not complying with the terms of his probation. County District Attorney Jason Schmidt would like to thank the Jamestown Police Department for its work on this case and the Chautauqua County Probation Officers for their diligent supervision of probationers.
