DUNKIRK POLICE DEPARTMENT
– DUNKIRK – Two Dunkirk residents are facing drug-related charges following a multi months-long investigation into narcotics activity in the city. On Friday, narcotics investigators from the Dunkirk Police Department and the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 56 W. Doughty St. Located at the residence at the time of the search warrant was Kevin Dejesus-Rivera, 32, and Christian Ayala-Gonzalez, 37. As a result of the search investigators said they seized 13.85 grams of crack cocaine, 2.2 grams of cocaine, 7.02 grams of fentanyl, scales and packaging material for the sale and distribution of narcotics and $971 in US currency. Both Dejesus-Rivera and Ayala-Gonzalez were charged with three counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia. Ayala-Gonzalez also had a valid misdemeanor warrant for his arrest. Both were taken to the Dunkirk Police Department to be arraigned in Dunkirk City Court. Authorities continue to ask members of the community to call and report suspicious or narcotics related activity within their neighborhoods. ELLICOTT POLICE
– Jena M. Croakman, 32, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree burglary, fourth-degree criminal mischief and petit larceny at 8:30 a.m. Aug. 11 after Ellicott police responded to a report of a suspicious person on Buffalo Street Extension. It’s alleged Croakman broke into a garage, took an item and then damaged two windows on a residence. Croakman will be in Ellicott Town Court later.
– Jacob A. Matherly, 31, and Danielle R. Olsen 38, both of Falconer, were allegedly involved in a domestic incident where Matherly was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation and Olsen was charged with second-degree assault at 12:10 a.m. Aug. 12. Ellicott police responded to a domestic dispute at a hotel in Falconer where it is alleged Matherly covered Olsen’s mouth preventing her from breathing. It is further alleged Olsen allegedly stabbed Matherly in his arm with a knife. Matherly and Olsen were taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for a centralized arraignment and will be in Ellicott Town Court later.
– Robbie Stearns, 29, of Jamestown was charged with petit larceny on Aug. 12. According to a police report Ellicott police responded to Target, 975 Fairmount Ave., where it is alleged Stearns took store merchandise on Aug. 11 and Aug. 12 without paying. Police report Stearns was found Aug. 12 and charged. He will be in Ellicott Town Court later.
– Clarence J. Williams III, 44, of Jamestown was charged with petit larceny at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 12 after Ellicott police responded to an Ellicott business for a reporting shoplifting. Williams allegedly left the store pushing a shopping cart full of store merchandise without paying. Williams was issued an appearance ticket and will be in Ellicott Town Court later.
