JAMESTOWN POLICE
– Jonathan Torres, 35, of Jamestown was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child along with having a previous arrest warrant from Jamestown City Court at 6:59 p.m. Monday after officers responded to a south side home for a reported domestic dispute in progress. According to a police report, officers arrived at the scene to find Torres outside of the home in the road. Officers had prior knowledge that Torres had an arrest warrant out of the Jamestown Police Department and placed Torres under arrest. Officers spoke with the woman regarding the domestic incident and found Torres allegedly damaged a door window while trying to get into the home. Two children were on the other side of the door, according to police, and were crying and scared from the incident. Torres was taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.
– Katelin D. Smith, a homeless woman, was charged with false personation and being a fugitive from justice at 11:20 a.m. Monday after officers checked a woman walking in the middle of the road on Monroe Street and Isabella Avenue in Jamestown causing traffic to drive around her. Smith allegedly gave police a false name and had an outstanding warrant out of Warren County in Pennsylvania. She was charged and taken to the city jail until she could be arraigned.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
— At around 8:52 p.m. Thursday, deputies conducted a traffic stop on North Main Street, Dunkirk, for traffic violations. Further investigation determined that Gregory S. Wollaston, 50, of Venice, Fla., was operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. Wollaston was charged with and will be in town court later.
— CHERRY CREEK — At around 9:58 p.m. Saturday, deputies observed a vehicle commit multiple traffic infractions. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on that vehicle and the driver was identified as Zachery J. Sticek, 27, of Jamestown. Through an investigation, Sticek was determined to be driving while intoxicated. He was charged with Aggravated DWI as well as several other traffic violations. Sticek was released with appearance tickets and will answer all charges in the Town of Cherry Creek at a later date.
