SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
— At around 12:16 a.m., the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and Fredonia Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Route 20 in the village. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Kyla E. Curry, 37, of Dunkirk. Further investigation found Curry to be driving while intoxicated. Curry was charged with DWI, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operator and no or inadequate lights.
Curry will answer for her charges in the village court later.
— SHERMAN — Around 5:09 p.m. Saturday, deputies responded to an address in the village for a reported altercation. While responding deputies had learned that one of the subjects, later identified as Cotey Thiem, 36, of Sherman had discharged a firearm in close proximity to another individual and residences. After an investigation, Thiem was charged with second-degree reckless endangerment and will be in the Town of Mina court later.
— ELLERY — At around 4 a.m. Saturday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office responded to a motor vehicle accident. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Kira M. Flick, 33, of Ripley. Further investigation found Flick to be operating the motor vehicle while intoxicated.
Flick was charged with felony DWI, aggravated DWI, moving from lane unsafely, and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle. Flick will be in the Town of Ellery Court later.
— PORTLAND — At around 10:24 a.m. April 7, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office responded to an address in the town for a past tense larceny complaint. Upon further investigation, it was found that Angela K. Szukala, 53, of Dunkirk, allegedly sold various collectible art items from within a residence of which she was renting from, without the owner’s permission to do so. The missing property in question is estimated to be worth approximately $25,000. Szukala was charged with felony third-degree grand larceny and will be in town court later.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
— Juan Burgos, 23, of Jamestown, was charred with criminal obstruction of breathing and second-degree unlawful imprisonment.
At 11:30 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to a domestic incident at a residence on the eastside of the city. Through investigation, officers learned that Burgos did restrain and choke a female victim. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail where he was being held pending arraignment.
— Antwene L. Fields, 46, was charged with DWI, DWI per se, unlicensed operator, unsafe tire and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. At around 4:57 a.m. Wednesday, officers responded to a leaving the scene of an accident report. Officers quickly located the vehicle on the south side of the city driving on just a rim. A traffic stop was conducted which found the driver, Fields, to be driving while intoxicated. Fields was transported to the Jamestown City Jail. A search of Fields’ vehicle located a quantity of cocaine. He was later released to return to court later.
— Tyler T. Manelick, 28, of Jamestown was charged with resisting arrest. Around 12:52 a.m. Saturday, officers were on patrol in the area of Winsor near Water Streets. Officers observed Manelick, who had a known warrant for failing to appear from the Jamestown City Court. Manelick was advised of the warrant and then led officers on a brief foot pursuit before he was taken into custody. He was transported to the Jamestown City Jail where he will be housed pending arraignment in addition to his warrant.
— Orishio D. Kingsberry, 32, of Elmira, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt and fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
At about 1:28 a.m. Friday, officers responded to an address on the West side of the city for a domestic incident. Upon arrival, it was discovered that the male inside of the residence had an order of protection to stay away from the victim who resides there. Kingsberry was taken into custody without incident and transported to the city jail where he was also found to be in possession of 7 grams of cocaine. Kingsberry was held pending arraignment.
— Trisha EM Bull, 31, year old of Jamestown was charged with resisting arrest.
At around 7:30 p.m. Friday, officers observed Bull walking on the South side of Jamestown. Officers had previous knowledge that she had an active warrant out of the department. Bull originally stopped for officers, but then took off. After a brief foot pursuit she was taken into custody. She was transported to the city jail, where she is being held pending arraignment for her warrant.
