MAN CHARGED AFTER RUCKUS AT HOSPITAL

A patient at Brooks-TLC Hospital in Dunkirk is facing charges after an incident Monday afternoon in the emergency department.

Daniel J. Jennings, 42, was charged with felony second-degree criminal mischief, fourth-degree criminal mischief and two counts of second-degree harassment.

City police say at about 2 p.m., they responded to a call of a patient attacking staff. Upon arrival it was reported that Jennings had allegedly thrown a vital sign monitor, broke a computer monitor and a wooden cabinet. It was also alleged that Jennings had grabbed a member of the hospital staff by her arms.

Jennings was taken into custody for the above listed charges and released on an appearance ticket.

DUNKIRK POLICE DEPARTMENT

— A city woman was arrested three times in four days for alleged crimes at a Lake Shore Drive West business.

Vanessa Stevens, 35, was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief on June 4 after allegedly damaging several light fixtures. She was charged with trespassing the following day, June 5. Stevens was also arrested June 7 and charged with second-degree criminal mischief after allegedly damaging a vehicle belonging to the business.

— Kia Briggs, 41, of Fredonia, was arrested June 12 and charged with three counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia.

— Jocef Laboy, 21, of Dunkirk, was arrested May 31 and charged with second-degree criminal impersonation.

— Neil Timmerman, 45, of Dunkirk, was arrested June 3 and charged with petit larceny.
