SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

— A personal injury accident Sunday led to a juvenile being transported to Oishei Children’s Hospital in Buffalo.

Deputies say the accident occurred at 12:22 p.m. and they responded with New York State Police on Route 83 in the town of Pomfret. The youth was being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

— CHAUTAUQUA — Deputies responded to a vehicle complaint on Route 394 around 4:30 p.m. Sunday. It was reported that a blue SUV was driving erratically in the area.

The vehicle was later observed turning onto Davis Road without signaling the turn. Deputies did confirm this was the vehicle by the plate number and stopped the vehicle. The driver was identified as Hanna G. Brown, 43, of Little Valley. After an investigation Brown was charged with improper and no signal, moved from lane unsafely, driving while intoxicated, felony aggravated driving while intoxicated per se with a child less than 16 years old. Brown was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.

JAMESTOWN POLICE

DEPARTMENT

— Sheri M. Hawkins, 53, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree menacing and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

At approximately 5:17 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to a domestic dispute on the West Side of the city. Hawkins was in the residence and had an active bench warrant.

Officers discovered that during the course of the dispute, Hawkins held a hammer and threatened the victim. Hawkins was placed into custody and transported to the City Jail without incident.

— Makim L. Pryce, 21, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt. At about 7 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to a south side address for a domestic dispute. Officers made contact with the victim who was having a verbal argument with Pryce, city resident. It was discovered that Pryce had a valid stay away order of protection to stay away from the female victim. He was taken into custody and held pending arraignment.
