Police: Man tried to run ex off road

Dunkirk police arrested a man after he allegedly tried to run his ex-girlfriend off the road.

Police took a walk-in complaint at about 12:30 p.m. Thursday for a female who stated that her ex-boyfriend, Jorge Davila Jr., age 36, had just attempted to run her off the road and chase her. Davila had an order of protection directing him to stay away from the woman.

Davila was taken into custody on two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and single counts of first-degree criminal contempt and second-degree reckless endangerment. He was arraigned and released to appear in court at a later date.

DUNKIRK POLICE DEPARTMENT

— A teenager has been charged in second-degree assault after a fight in Dunkirk.

City police said Monday that at about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, they received a report of a fight near the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and Courtney Street. After an investigation it was determined the fight involved two female juveniles where a 17-year-old struck a 16-year-old in the face with a brick.

The 17-year-old was issued a summons for the youth part of County Court.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

– KENNEDY – Maiker E. Anderson Blanca, 28, of Jamestown, was charged with driving while intoxicated, moving from lane unsafely, and failure to keep right Friday after being involved in an automobile accident around 10 p.m. on Dean School Board in the town of Ellington. Anderson Blanca was transported to UPMC Chautauqua for treatment of injuries received in the accident.

– FRENCH CREEK – Kathleen Bailey, 62, of Sherman was charged DWI, DWI per se, improper turn following a traffic stop Friday around 10 p.m. on King Road. She was charged and released to appear in French Creek Town Court at a later date.
