CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

— RIPLEY — At approximately 1:12 p.m. Friday, deputies were dispatched to a trespass complaint. Through investigation it was determined that 39-year-old Skyler Miller of Ripley was charged with trespass. He will be in court later.

— RIPLEY — Around 9:37 p.m. Friday, deputies were dispatched to a business on Shortman Road to assist fire and EMS with a possible assault victim.

Upon arrival and after an investigation it was determined that a male subject, later identified as 64-year-old George Bonniville of Brighton, Mich., was in a verbal altercation with another subject and during the altercation had discharged personal defense spray toward the other subject. The subject was treated at the scene by Ripley EMS and later released. Bonniville was located nearby and charged with third-degree assault. He will be in court later.

— FREWSBURG — Around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, deputies were made aware of an altercation that had occurred at an address in the town of Poland. One of the subjects involved was identified as Kweilen D. Bell, 45, of Frewsburg. Through further investigation it was determined that Bell had obstructed the breathing of another subject at the residence. He was charged with second-degree harassment and criminal obstruction of breathing and placed in custody and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for arraignment.

— SHERIDAN — Around 6:55 p.m. Friday, deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident on Route 20 where a vehicle struck a utility pole. The operator was identified as Julian Alcongaspar, 21, from Dunkirk. Alcongaspar was not injured but was found to be driving while intoxicated. He was taken into custody and transported to the Sheriff’s Office Substation while a passenger of the vehicle was taken to the hospital for injuries sustained during the crash. He was found to be investigated by border patrol and was subsequently transferred over to their custody.

— Around 12:56 a.m. Saturday, deputies conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle performing an unsafe start and having a loud exhaust on Temple Road in Fredonia. The operator was identified as Allan R. Wolfe, 35, of Dunkirk and was found to be driving while intoxicated. Wolfe was transported to the Sheriff’s Office Substation where he was released.

— HANOVER — At 1:03 p.m. Friday, deputies conducted a traffic stop on Bradley Road. The operator of the vehicle was identified as 31-year-old Adam N. Mox of Hanover. Through further investigation, Mox was found to be operating the vehicle without the registered owner’s permission. He was charged with third-degree unauthorized use of a vehicle, issued traffic tickets and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.

— MINA — Around 9:38 a.m. Saturday, deputies conducted a traffic stop for a motorist violating the vehicle and traffic law. The operator was identified as Kenneth Brightman, 38, of Sherman, and was found to be driving while intoxicated. Brightman was taken into custody and transported to the Sheriff’s Office where he was later released with appearance tickets.

— FRENCH CREEK — Just after midnight Saturday, deputies located a single motor vehicle accident on Route 426. The operator was identified as Thomas A. Segiel, 44, of Lancaster. Segiel was transported to Hamot Hospital to be evaluated for his injuries. Further investigation found Segiel was operating the motor vehicle while intoxicated. Segiel will answer for his charges in the Town of French Creek Court on a later date and time.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

— John L. Thompson Jr., 51, of Jamestown, was charged with driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated with blood alcohol content at 0.18% or higher.

At approximately 9:45 p.m. Friday, officers responded to a business Harrison Street after

receiving a report of a motor vehicle accident. Upon investigation, it was determined that Thompson was operating one of the vehicles involved in the accident while under the influence

of alcohol. Thompson was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. He was to be in Jamestown City Court at a later

date for arraignment.

— Dylan S Griffith, 34, of Jamestown was charged with first-degree criminal contempt.

At approximately 7:48 p.m. Oct. 14, officers responded to a northside address for a report of a

disorderly person threatening the residents of a multiple dwelling. Officers made contact with the complainant and were able to identify the male to be Griffith. While attempting to follow up with Dylan, officers observed him to be accompanied by the person who is the protected party of a full stayaway order of protection against Griffith. He was transported to Jamestown City Jail without incident where he was held pending arraignment.
