CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERRIF’S DEPARTMENT

– Marissa E. Figueroa, 45, of Dunkirk, was charged Nov. 6 with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, and operating a motor vehicle while registration is suspended or revoked. According to officials, at 9:40 p.m., while on routine patrol of the town of Pomfret, a deputy did observe a vehicle and traffic violation. Upon further investigation it was determined that Figueroa allegedly was operating the vehicle while intoxicated. Figueroa will be Pomfret Town Court later.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

– Tammy Johnson, 55, of Jamestown, was charged Nov. 5 with second-degree menacing, and resisting arrest. According to police, at about 3 a.m., officers responded to an eastside address for a report of a person with a weapon. Upon arrival, officers were informed Johnson had displayed a black handgun during an altercation with the victim. Officers made contact with Johnson through the door at the residence, however, she allegedly refused to exit the residence. Police said Johnson was given several opportunities to come outside, but allegedly refused all verbal commands to exit. A search warrant was obtained and executed by JPD’s SWAT team to make entry. Johnson was placed into custody without incident, and taken to Jamestown City Jail. She will be in Jamestown City Court later.

– Larry L. Casey III, 35, no address given, was charged Nov. 4 with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and having an outstanding arrest warrant. According to police, at about 11:54 p.m., officers were patrolling downtown when they observed Casey walking west on West Third Street. Officers learned that Casey had an active warrant issued by Jamestown City Court. Casey was stopped, and upon further investigation it was found that he was in alleged possession of methamphetamine that was located inside his backback. Casey was placed into custody, and taken to city jail. Casey will be in city court later.
