JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
– Kyier R. Johnson, 18, of Jamestown was charged Wednesday with unlawful possession of a weapon on school grounds, second-degree burglary, second-degree menacing, and endangering the welfare of a child. According to police, on Nov. 6 at about 11 p.m., officers responded to JPD for a report of a past domestic incident involving Johnson. Through investigation, it was determined that Johnson allegedly entered a family member’s home where he was not permitted and engaged in a verbal altercation with the homeowner. A second female victim arrived to pick up her child, and Johnson allegedly displayed a firearm, menacing her while in close proximity to the child. Both victims left and reported the incident, leading to arrest warrants being issued. At about 11:12 a.m. Wednesday, the Jamestown High School Resource Officer and JHS principal observed Johnson
on school property, where he is enrolled as a student. Johnson was arrested and placed into custody outside JHS on the active warrants. Upon further investigation, it was found that a BB gun pistol was in his alleged possession. Johnson was taken to Jamestown City Jail, and later taken to the Chautauqua County Jail. He will be in Jamestown City Court later.
WESTFIELD POLICE DEPARTMENT
– Richard A. Conway Jr., 46, was charged Wednesday with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation , unlicensed operator, and having an unlicensed motor vehicle. According to police, at about 10:05 a.m., officers observed a vehicle traveling west on Hawley Street in the town of Westfield, and committing a traffic violation. A traffic stop was initiated, and the driver was identified as Conway. Upon further investigation, it was found that Conway’s driver’s license was suspended on more than five separate dates. Conway was placed into custody, and will be in Westfield Town Court later.
