JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
– Danielle R. Raynor, 38, of Jamestown was charged Nov. 25 with petit larceny, second-degree obstructing governmental administration, and resisting arrest. According to police, at about 3:46 a.m., officers responded to 7-Eleven on North Main Street for a reported shoplifting incident. Upon arrival, officers spoke with a store employee. Through investigation it was found that Raynor allegedly had stolen merchandise from the store. She was located a short distance from the store, and then allegedly became combative with officers while being placed into custody. After a brief struggle, Raynor was placed into custody without incident, and then taken to city jail. She will be in city court later.
– Noah Smith, 19, of Jamestown, was charged Nov. 20 with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. According to police, at about 4:30 a.m., officers responded to the La Quinta Inn and Suites on West Third Street for a reported trespass complaint. Upon arrival, officers located Smith inside the business. Officers also had prior knowledge that Smith had an outstanding warrant from Jamestown City Court. Upon further investigation, it was found that Smith was in alleged possession of a quantity of liquid methadone, and a small quantity of cocaine. Smith was placed into custody, and taken to the city jail, and will be in city court later.
– Joseph A. McWillson, 37, was charged Nov. 25 with third-degree criminal tampering, resisting arrest, two counts of fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. According to police, at about 9:15 a.m., McWillson allegedly kicked over a city-owned and maintained in front of the police department, which caused the garbage to come out. Officers attempted to place him into custody, but McWillson allegedly resisted arrest and fought with officers. After a brief struggle, McWillson was placed into custody and walked into the city jail. While in jail, McWillson was found to be in alleged possession of mail belonging to several local businesses. He will be in city court later.
