CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
— ARKWRIGHT — Around 7:59 p.m. Thursday, deputies were made aware of an in-progress order of protection violation. Through an investigation it was determined that Dakota S. Sugg, 30, of Dunkirk was actively violating a full stay away order of protection when he made numerous phone calls to the protected party in the presence of the deputies. Deputies were able to locate Sugg a short time later and while placing him into custody had located a small quantity of crack cocaine on his person. Sugg was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for CAP arraignment and will return to the Town of Arkwright court and the City of Dunkirk for his charges.
— CHAUTAUQUA — At about 8:05 p.m. Thursday, deputies responded to a call of a disorderly person in the town. After an investigation Gabe J Seyler, 34, of Mayville was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment. Seyler was issued an appearance ticket to appear in the Town of Chautauqua Court at a later date.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
– Mark R. Burch Jr., 32, of Jamestown, was charged Dec. 2 with having an outstanding Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office warrant, having and outstanding Jamestown Police Department warrant, and resisting arrest. According to police, officers were on patrol in the Broadhead Avenue area when they observed Burch. Police said officers attempted to apprehend Burch, but he allegedly ignored commands to stop, and led officers on a foot pursuit before being caught. He was placed into custody. Burch was taken to the Jamestown City Jail, and subsequently taken to the Chautauqua County Jail. He will be in Jamestown City Court later.
– Madalynn A. Donato, 23, of Jamestown, was charged Dec. 2 with second-degree harassment, second-degree harassment, and resisting arrest. According to police, at about 5 p.m., officers attempted to locate Donato who had pending domestic charges. Officers, police said, were advised of Donato allegedly making multiple physical threats toward the victim by phone and physically striking the victim several times. Officers located Donato on the city’s Northside, and once Donato had seen officers, she ran away. After a short foot pursuit, officers found Donato to be hiding on the side of a building. After a brief fight, Donato was placed into custody, and taken to the city jail. She will be in city court later.
– William D. Dunlap, 60, of Jamestown, was charged Dec. 3 with two counts of second-degree criminal contempt. According to police, at about 1:21 p.m., officers responded to a westside residence for a domestic dispute in progress. Upon arrival, officers located Dunlap hiding under a bed inside a bedroom at the residence. Dunlap was found to be in alleged violation of two active orders of protection, which required him to stay away from two separate female victims who were present at the residence, police said. Dunlap was placed into custody, and taken to city jail. He will be in city court later.
