Saturday stabbing under investigation in Jamestown
A stabbing in the city of Jamestown is under investigation.
The incident took place around 12:30 p.m. Saturday with a scanner call that indicated two males in the lobby with a stabbing victim.
Both Jamestown Police and Fire Departments were on the scene and the Tim Hortons at 10 S. Main St. was closed for the remainder of the day.
Police had not issued a report on the incident as of Sunday morning at 10 a.m.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
— Georgeanna Ribbing, 49, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree assault, criminal obstruction of breathing or blood flow and endangering the welfare of a child.
At 12:20 p.m. Friday, officers responded to a southside address for a reported physical domestic. Upon arrival, officers spoke with a 15-year-old victim who had minor visible injuries from a physical altercation with the mother, Ribbing. Ribbing was taken into custody without incident and transported to the city jail. She was being held pending arraignment.
— Jonathan E. Hulett, 25, of Clymer was charged with DWI, aggravated DWI, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, speed not reasonable or prudent, disregard traffic control device and moving from lane unsafely.
Just after midnight Saturday, officers conducted a routine traffic stop on a vehicle on Foote Avenue and Institute Street after observing multiple traffic infractions. Upon making contact
with the male operator of the vehicle, it was discovered that Hulett was operating a motor vehicle in an intoxicated state. He was being held in the Jamestown City Jail, pending arraignment.
— Jouseph Velazquez, 24, was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief.
Around 3:17 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to an address on the Northside of the city for the report of an unwanted male attempting to kick the door in.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with the female victim and it was discovered that Velazquez kicked the victim’s door, causing a panel to break. He was still on scene at this time and placed into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail where he was held pending arraignment.
Yashira J. Morales-Castro, 28, of Jamestown, was charged with third-degree criminal mischief.
At 3:51 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to a north side address for a reported Domestic Dispute.
Officers arrived on scene and spoke with both parties involved. Upon further investigation, it was found that Morales-Castro damaged a TV and TV stand during the course of the dispute. Morales-Castro was held pending arraignment.
