Accidents tie up Thruway
Several motor vehicle collisions on the New York State Thruway impacted traffic during a winter storm warning on Thursday afternoon. Thruway State Police said accidents occurred on the Thruway near Exit 57A, town of Evans in Erie County. One incident involved two tractor-trailers, another involved five passenger vehicles, and a third involved a tractor-trailer and passenger vehicle. Westbound lanes were blocked and during the afternoon and evening and two people were transported to local hospitals with what was believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
