CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
– Andrew W. Scott, 47, of Mayville was charged Jan. 28 with third-degree assault, and fourth-degree criminal mischief. According to officials, at about 7:17 p.m., deputies responded to an address in the Village of Mayville for a physical altercation in-progress. Upon further investigation, it is alleged Scott broke multiple items inside a residence during the altercation, along with also having struck another person with a shovel causing minor injuries. Scott was taken to Chautauqua County jail and will be in court later.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
– Lisa Gaiser, 47, of Jamestown was charged Jan. 29 with resisting arrest, and having multiple arrest warrants. According to police, at about 3 a.m., officers conducted a warrant search at a westside residence. Officers made contact with Gaiser, who had several arrest warrants from JPD. Officers spoke with Gaiser through her door and window, and she was informed she was under arrest. Gaiser allegedly refused to cooperate with officers’ commands, and would not open the door. Officers, police said, then made entry into the residence. While making entry, officers discovered the door had been barricaded with a couch, which didn’t deter officers, who were still able to push through the door. Once inside, officers again told Gaiser she was under arrest, and she retreated toward a back bedroom. Police said officers quickly apprehended Gaiser who began to pull away from officers. After a brief struggle, Gaiser was placed into custody, and she was taken to Jamestown City Jail without incident. She will be in Jamestown City Court later.
TOWN OF ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT
– Carlos L. Cabral, 45 , of Jamestown, was charged Jan. 15 with third-degree grand larceny. According to police, officers responded to a larceny complaint at FedEx where it is alleged Cabral took $9,000 worth of Apple iPhone packages. Cabral was placed into custody, processed, and released. He will be in Ellicott Town Court later.
– Brandon E. Fogle, 40 , of Jamestown, was charged Jan. 16 with two counts seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia, and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. According to police, Officers conducted a vehicle traffic stop after observing traffic violations. Upon further investigation, it is alleged Fogle was operating with a suspended license and in possession of a quantity of Methamphetamine, Fentanyl and a digital scale. Fogle was placed into custody, and released. He will be in town court later.
– Donald M. Swanson, 54 , of Jamestown, was charged Jan. 17 with seventh-degree criminal possession. According to police, officers conducted a warrant check where it is alleged Swanson had an outstanding felony warrant from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office. Police said officers located Swanson, and while placing him in custody, Swanson allegedly was found to be in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine. He was turned over to CCSO on his warrant, and will be in town court later.
– Marquise E. Casey, 18 , of Jamestown was charged Jan. 26 with fourth-degree grand larceny. According to police, officers responded to a reported larceny at a local business, where it is alleged Casey took money from a store register. Casey will be in town court later.
– Carmelo Hernandez, 66 , of Falconer, was charged Jan. 23 with petit larceny. According to police, officers responded to a local business for a shoplifting complaint, where it is alleged Hernandez took store merchandise without paying.
