After a reported domestic dispute, a Jamestown Man is facing many charges.
Xavier L. Williams, 25, of Jamestown, was charged Jan. 22 second-degree endangering the welfare of an incompetent or physically disabled person, second-degree unlawful imprisonment, second-degree harassment, first-degree criminal contempt, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, and driving while intoxicated.
According to the Jamestown Police Department, at about 2 a.m., officers were dispatched to a west side residence for a reported domestic dispute in progress involving multiple people. Upon arrival, officers discovered that Williams allegedly committed several offenses at the residence which included violating an order of protection by unlawfully imprisoning an individual, and fighting with another person which then endangered the welfare of an incompetent or physically disabled person who was also at the residence.
Further investigation revealed that just prior to the domestic incident, Williams allegedly was driving while intoxicated when he advised officers he had crashed a vehicle into a pole.
Police said Williams became extremely uncooperative when he was placed into custody, and taken to Jamestown City Jail. He will be in Jamestown City Court later.
