SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

— SHERMAN — At around 8:46 p.m., Friday, deputies observed a vehicle driving erratically and driving into oncoming traffic on Route 430. The vehicle was observed to almost go off the pavement on the opposite side of the road.

The vehicle was stopped and the operator was identified as Jeffrey A. Greiner, 39, from the Town of Sherman. Through investigation Greiner was found to be driving while intoxicated. He was transported to the Sheriff’s Officer where he was processed and released to the Chautauqua County Jail where he was held for arraignment.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

— Vincent A. Jones, 59, of Bemus Point, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

At about 3:05 p.m. Friday, an officer responded to an apartment complex on the North side of the city for a fire investigation. While on scene, Jones was observed at the complex. It was determined that Jones was at the apartment with a victim who resides there. There is a valid Stay Away Order of Protection for Jones to stay away from the victim. Jones was placed into custody without incident and transported to the city jail. Jones was also found to be in possession of a quantity of a methamphetamine and fentanyl mixture.

He was held pending his arraignment in the Jamestown City Court.

— Corey P. Bryant, 39, of Jamestown was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and endangering the welfare of a child

At about 5:12 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to a north side residence for a domestic dispute. When officers arrived on location they spoke with both parties involved. Through investigation it was found that an argument had occurred between a victim and Bryant.

During the argument Bryant kicked an interior door causing damage to the door and door handle. This occurred in front of a child less than 17 years old. He was taken

into custody without incident and transported to the city jail and held pending arraignment.

— Ryan J. Freeman, 25, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree assault.

Around 5:30 p.m. Friday, officers responded to an in progress report of a domestic dispute on the South Side of the City. Upon arrival

officers met the suspect, Freeman, on his front porch. He explained he was confused on why officers were on scene. Officers then made contact with the victim inside the residence.

Through the investigation it was found that the victim had been punched in the face by Freeman. It was also found that he had scratched the victim, causing minor cuts as well. The victim then fled to the bathroom where they had barricaded themselves and called 911. Freeman was placed into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail without incident.
