JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
– Vanessa R. Stevens, 35, of Jamestown was charged March 18 with second-degree criminal contempt. According to police, at about 7:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to a Northside residence to assist New York State Parole. While at the residence, officers observed Stevens allegedly violating an order of protection. Stevens was placed into custody, and taken to Jamestown City Jail. She will be in Jamestown City Court later.
ELLICOTT TOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
– Jordan Austin, 35 , of Jamestown was charged March 7 with petit larceny. According to police, officers responded to a past tense larceny complaint, where it is alleged Austin removed property belonging to a local business. Austin was later placed into custody and taken to the Chautauqua County Jail. Austin will be in Ellicott Town Court later.
– Sarah E. Johnson, 47, of Jamestown was charged March 10 with third-degree burglary, and petit larceny. According to police, at about 4p.m., officers responded to a shoplifting complaint where it is alleged Johnson took merchandise from Target, and left without attempting to pay. Police said Johnson was previously trespassed from Target due to a previous incident. Johnson was placed into custody, and taken to the county jail, and will be in Ellicott Town Court later.
– Michael L. Johnson, 28 , of Jamestown was charged on March 10 with second-degree menacing, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, second-degree criminal using drug paraphernalia, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. According to police, officers responded to a Fight at the Clarion Pointe Hotel, where it is alleged that Johnson pulled a knife and threatened to do harm to another person. Johnson was placed into custody, and brought to the Ellicott Police Department where he was found to be in alleged possession of what is believed to be cocaine, police said. He was taken to the county jail, and will be in town court later.
– Adam Somnitz, 32, of Jamestown was charged March 13 with petit larceny. According to police, officers responded to an in-progress shoplifting complaint, where it is alleged Somnitz walked out of a local convenience store with unpaid merchandise. Somnitz was later placed into custody and taken to the Ellicott Police Department. He will be in town court later.
– Dakota A. Martin, 24, of Jamestown was charged March 14 with petit larceny. According to police, officers responded to Crosby’s after a shoplifting report, where it is alleged that Martin took multiple items from the store, and left without paying. Martin was placed into custody and will be in town court later.
– Scott A. Dickerson, 58, of Celoron, was charged March 16 with second-degree attempted burglary, first-degree criminal contempt, third-degree criminal mischief, and trespass. Police said, at about 12 p.m., officers responded to a domestic dispute, where it is alleged Dickerson attempted to gain entry into the victim’s residence while breaking windows. It was also found that there is an active order of protection against Dickerson. Dickerson was observed walking in Celoron at which time he fled on foot into a wooded area. Officers did locate Dickerson a short time later where he was placed into custody. Dickerson will be in town court later.
