CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

— CHAUTAUQUA — Around 11:54 p.m. Wednesday, deputies were dispatched to Route 394 and Moore Road for a motor vehicle and property damage accident. After an investigation it was found that Phillip N. Grobe, 37, of Ashville was operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated at the time of the accident. He was charged with DWI, driving with 0.08 or more of alcohol, moving from lane unsafely, speed not reasonable & prudent, and unreasonable speed/special hazards. He will answer to these charges later in town court.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

– Angel G. Ramos-Gonzalez, 26, of Jamestown, was charged Thursday with two counts of aggravated criminal contempt, unlawful imprisonment, third-degree assault, and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child. According to police, at about 8:02 a.m., officers responded to a domestic dispute at an Eastside residence. Upon arrival, officers were advised that Ramos-Gonzalez was inside the residence violating an order of protection. Officers, police said, made entry, and located Ramos-Gonzalez in a bedroom closet where he was placed into custody without incident, and then taken to Jamestown City Jail. Through further investigation, officers found that Ramos-Gonzalez allegedly had bitten the victim causing minor injuries. It was also found, police said, that Ramos-Gonzalez allegedly held the victim in the bedroom, and refused to allow her to take of the home which led to three children of the home to have to live in deplorable conditions. Ramos-Gonzalez will be in Jamestown City Court later.

– Demetrius K. Goldsmith, 35, of Jamestown, was charged Thursday with first-degree criminal contempt, and second-aggravated harassment. Police said, at about 11:43 p.m., officers received a complaint regarding an order of protection violation which occurred earlier that day. Through investigation, it was found Goldsmith allegedly had made a phone call threatening the protected party. Goldsmith was located shortly after the alleged incident at a separate address, and was placed into custody without incident. He was taken to the city jail, and will be in city court later.
