CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

— MAYVILLE — At 3:41 a.m. Saturday, members of the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to an address for a report of a past tense physical altercation. After an investigation it was determined that Kevin T Appelbe, 41, of Mayville, did intentionally cause physical injury to another person. During the altercation Appelbe did cause another person to be in fear of their life and did restrict their movements. He was subsequently charged with third-degree menacing, third-degree assault and second-degree unlawful imprisonment. After Centralized Arraignment, Appelbe will be in town court later.

— At around 1:07 a.m. Sunday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on West Third Street in the city of Jamestown. The operator of the vehicle was identified as James A. Schultz, 42, of Lakewood. Further investigation found Schultz to be driving while intoxicated. He was charged with DWI, aggravated DWI, and no distinctive plate. He will answer his charges in city court later.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

— Angel M. Rosa, 18, of Jamestown was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and blood circulation and s econd-degree unlawful imprisonment.

At around 7:07 p.m. Friday, officers responded to a domestic incident on the South side of Jamestown. Through investigation it was found that Rosa pinned the victim to the ground, grabbed their neck, and repeatedly struck them. Rosa was taken into custody and

transported to the city jail, where he is being held pending arraignment.

— Marcus A. Mcaffee,36, was charged with first-degree criminal contempt and second-degree harassment.

At around 11:41 p.m. Friday, officers responded to a south side address for a disorderly person. Officers spoke to Mcaffee on scene, and also with a nearby resident who was the victim. It was determined that Mcaffee verbally threatened the victim, and the victim had a valid refrain from order of protection against him. He was placed into custody and transported to city jail.

— William C. Leamer, 43, of Jamestown was charged with first-degree felony criminal contempt.

At about 3:50 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to a North side address for a domestic dispute. Officers observed William C. Leamer exit the residence of the victim. Officers knew there was a Stay Away Order of Protection against Leamer requiring him to stay away from the home of the victim. Leamer was placed into custody and transported to the City Jail without incident.
