JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

– Joseph M. Grekalski, 41, of Jamestown, was charged April 19 with driving while intoxicated. According to police, at about 4 p.m., officers received a well being check call at a westside building complex. It was reported, police said, that there was an intoxicated male who had knocked on several apartment doors. Police said while walking away, the man was staggering his steps while getting into his vehicle. Upon arrival, officers found Grekalski behind the wheel of a running vehicle. After more investigation, it was determined that Grekalski allegedly was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence. He was placed into custody, and transported to Jamestown City Jail. He will be in Jamestown City Court later.

– Charles L. Cooper, 20, of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree menacing. According to police, at about 6:28 p.m., officers were dispatched to the east side for a vehicle complaint. It was reported that Cooper was chasing another vehicle with the victim in it. At that time, Cooper allegedly pointed a handgun at the victim. Cooper was located and placed into custody. Cooper was taken to the city jail, and will be in city court later.

– Danielle N. Braun, 39, was charged April 20 with second-degree burglary, and petit larceny. According to police, at about 1:42 a.m., officers responded to a Northside address for an in-progress burglary. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Braun inside the apartment complex. She was placed into custody, and taken to the city jail. She will be in city court later.

– Xavier L. Perry, 23, of Jamestown, was charged April 20 with second-degree menacing. According to police, at about 12:05 a.m., officers responded to a westside address for a domestic incident. Police said it was determined that Perry used a kitchen knife to intimidate a female victim. Perry, police said, allegedly held a knife in his hand and lunged toward the victim causing her to be in fear of being injured. Perry was placed into custody, and taken to the city jail. He will be in city court later.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

– Douglas E. Martin, 62, of Busti was charged April 17 with second-degree criminal contempt, second-degree harassment, and fourth-degree criminal mischief. According to police, at about 2:55 p.m., officers responded to 3638 Lawson Road for an in-progress domestic dispute. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Martin, and after further investigation, it was discovered that Martin allegedly had violated a protection order. He was placed into custody, and taken to the LBPD for processing. He was then later taken to Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment and will be in Busti Town Court later.
